Andreas Otto

Andreas Otto holds the Chair of Business Administration, in particular controlling and logistics, at the University of Regensburg. Prior to this position, he was Product Manager "Order Fulfillment" at SAP AG, Walldorf, from autumn 2000 to the beginning of 2004. From 1997 to mid-2000, Dr Otto was responsible for the "Logistics Service Provider" consulting division at the Fraunhofer Application Centre for Transport Logistics and Communication Technology, Nuremberg. Prior to this, he was responsible for central controlling and corporate development at Dachser GmbH & Co. KG from 1994 to mid-1996. Dr Otto studied business administration at the Friedrich-Alexander-University, Erlangen-Nuremberg and received his doctorate from the Chair of Business Administration, in particular Logistics (Prof Klaus).

The Industrial Controlling and Logistics specialisation prepares students for a career as a controller, logistician or supply chain manager or corresponding management consultant in primarily the following sectors:

• Industrial companies with a focus on discrete industry (e.g. automotive, high-tech, consumer goods),
• Retail companies with a focus on trade in discrete goods (e.g. food, white goods, other consumer goods),
• Logistics service providers

• Head of the MBA Controlling programme
• Member of the "Study & Teaching" working group (programme evaluation)
• Chairman of the UR Science Outreach Advisory Board
